Making Conversation 2023 Accessible

Hi, I’m Karen Fishwick and I’m leading on Access for Conversation. We want to start talking to you all, both prospective members and the wider community, about what you need to get the most from Eastercon 2023. We want to start this discussion from the very start of the project so we can keep your needs in mind as we choose a venue or design the programme. We also appreciate that needs may be different if you are taking part online or in person and we want to understand what that looks like for you.

We have created an open-ended survey for you to tell us about the sorts of things we need to be thinking about as we make our plans for the convention. Sadly we cannot promise that we will be able to accommodate every need, but the earlier we gain an understanding of what is required, the better we’ll be able to design the convention. That means that if we win the bid, as many people as possible will be able to enjoy it in-person or online.

Nothing you say here commits you to attend or take part. We appreciate without a venue announcement you would not be able to confirm that. If you want to be kept in touch about our plans, please join our mailing list.

If you have any questions or concerns and want to speak to me privately, please do email me via access@conversation2023.org.uk.
